Aqueous Abstracts
I begin my paintings and drawings by inviting creativity and color into meditation, where we “discuss” (without words) what we’re going to explore. I make myself permeable to how color and energy want to move, what they want to become, while I focus on the feelings I want to evoke. I ask how they would like to move, take form and shape, and work with me to express what we’re there to explore, which is often beauty. What emerges is a new comprehension for me – and hopefully for you – something freshly made into being. I want the viewer to be transformed by looking at my art, as I have been transformed by making it.
