Blue Violet Mystery
Swirling concentric waves of energy and color converge within the enigmatic face of mystery in the center. I worked on this for many months, and even though I felt a strong connection to her, I don’t know the secrets she holds. I rather like that. I sense that she’ll reveal some things to me in the coming years, but I may never know it all. I rather like that, too.
She currently hangs above a stairwell, always surveying the comings and goings in our home.

The human face is a thing of exquisite beauty. I find beauty in the openness of heart people sometimes wear in their expression. I find it in the depth of lived experience: Faces where I sense both tragedy and majesty, wound and healing, the lost and the divine. Faces are the landscape of the Soul. I never tire of aiming to depict that sense of Soul – and humanity – I sense in a face.
