Fucshia Twist
These energetic waves of fuchsia and violet twisting through layers of lavender and purple are depictions of how I felt during a period of positive upheaval. I was making necessary emotional changes that were both frightening and full of hope. It feels paradoxical, and yet I’ve come to realize: this is so much of what a fully lived life is. I know I must change, even as I resist changing. It’s frightening, sometimes terrifying, but we do it anyway. We all do. Because we are courageous. Because we deserve the life we dream of having.

I begin my paintings and drawings by inviting creativity and color into meditation, where we discuss (without words) what we’re going to create. I focus on the feelings I want to evoke, and then ask color and creativity how they would like to move, take form and shape, and work with me to express beauty.
